XAT 2019 Registrations to Start this August 2018

Xavier Aptitude Test or XAT is a management exam conducted by XLRI every year for students aspiring to take admissions to MBA and PGDM courses in Xavier institutes and other 150 colleges. XAT is regarded as one of the most prominent exams in management after CAT and MAT.

This year like every year, Xavier Labor Relation Institute or XLRI Jamshedpur is conducting XAT 2019 that will take place in January 2019. Registration for XAT 2019 will start in the third week of August 2018. Here are details regarding the exam.

XAT 2019 Registration Process and Eligibility

The registration process will start in the third week of August 2018 and will end on November 30, 2018. Last date for late submission is second week of December 2018. Admit cards for the exam will be available in the last week of December 2018.

  • Rs 1650 to be paid using credit card, debit card, demand draft, net banking and IDBI challan while Rs 2000 for late submission
  • Rs 300 to be paid for each additional subjects while Rs 500 for late submission on each subject

XAT 2019 exam will be conducted in the first week of January 2019. The exam will be of 3.5 hours and the answer key will be released in the last week of January 2019. The results for XAT 2019 will be out in the first week of February 2019.

You need to have a 3 year graduation degree from any institute recognized by the UGC. There is no age limit for candidates. Those who are in their final years can also sit in the exam given they produce the graduation degree on the date designated.

XAT 2019 Exam Pattern

XAT 2019 exam will be of 3.5 hours in online mode. There will be two sections in the exam paper. Part I will contain 74 questions for which 170 minutes can be devoted. In Part-I there are three sections namely Verbal and Logical Ability, Decision Making and Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation.

The second part contains 25 questions from GK section while one has to write an essay on the given topic. You will be given 40 minutes to attend the second part. One marks is awarded for correct answer and .25 marks will be devoted for wrong answer. In case you don’t attend more than 8 questions then 0.05 marks will be deducted on each unattempt question beyond 8.

After you qualify in the XAT exam then you will be invited for personal interview, group discussion and written ability test or WAT. Only after that you will be given admission to the desired college you want.
