It is also an online examination and is designed in a way so as to test the fundamentals of engineering. Myths Related To Exam Cracking:

There are some pre defined myths, which people say you must follow if you wanna crack any exam. I would like to mention those so that people can understand the way they need to actually prepare themselves.

  • Get Enrolled In Famous Coaching Centers And Half Of The Work Is Done:

This is the greatest mistaken belief that almost every candidate has. We need to understand that it’s not about the brand name of any coaching center. To crack any exam with good score involves consistent hard work from you.

  • Study For 12 hours a Day Or You Will Be Doomed:

This one is the cause of the majority of depression cases that we see in India. I will just suggest you to go through the interview of any student who has cracked any competition exam successfully. YOU DO NOT NEED TO STUDY 12 HOURS A DAY. The only thing you will achieve by following this time table will be frustration and depression. You have to relax and mind and enjoy study. That’s it. This is the key.

How To Prepare For GATE:

  • Most people think that if they get themselves enrolled in famous coaching centers, they can easily crack GATE exam. Let me tell you just one thing – Any coaching institute can just cover 25% of your preparation. The rest of the entire 75% of the preparation depends on you. Self study is the most important key factor to crack any exam.
  • Studying for 12 hours a day? It won’t work. Rather than studying for large number of hours in a day, focus on just 4 to 5 hours of efficient study. In this way, your mind will be calm and composed. You will be able to complete your study within 5 hours, rather than just sitting and brainstorming your mind for 12 hours a day. Remember that even your mind needs rest.
  • Maintain a time table. You need to have a disciplined life first of all. I am quite sure that nobody wants to become just book worm. Consistent study is another factor for any successful score card. I have seen people wasting a day or two and saying that they will make up for these two days in just one day. This can never happen. Learn to have a consistent study, or just forget to even write any of the competition exams.
  • You need to have big targets. Until and unless you yourself set a high targeted goal, you will never be able to achieve things. Remember this: Dreaming to achieve something is entirely different than confidence of achieving those. Don’t have confidence? Well, you must have. Set some high end goals and make sure you achieve them.
