MBA in India or Abroad

MBA is one of the most common Post Graduate Courses available in the World. The most common question faced by an MBA aspirant in India is whether to take up MBA in India or Abroad, and which college to take it up in. As always, there are advantages and disadvantages to both, but after weighing the pros and cons carefully, one should make their choice.

MBA in India –

There are a number of wonderful colleges in India for MBA. The main advantage of studying for MBA in India is that, the cost of living is not so high no matter where in India you relocate to. This makes it easier for a person to choose a better college even though the tuition fees might be bit expensive. But one of the disadvantages is that, the scope for MBA Holders in India are less, as every year numerous people pass out of MBA. Until and unless the degree is received from a very famous university such as IIM, not much importance is given to an MBA Holder, which is the main reason many people prefer MBA in abroad. But then again, colleges such as PES and Christ offer the students with a program where in one year they study in India whereas the next year they’ll study in a college abroad. Such programs are very helpful for the students as they get certificates not only from one University, but 2, one of which is abroad.

MBA Abroad –

The scope of MBA in foreign countries is very high as the requirement of MBA holders in abroad are high. The advantage of studying in a college abroad is that one get to learn MBA though international means instead of just Indian means, meaning he gets a lot more knowledge and has a higher growth rate when compared to others. Moreover, the Universities offer various opportunities such as internships and job guarantee, which helps the students to get them settled. However, the main disadvantage of studying abroad lies in the tuition fees as well as the cost of living, both of which are high. Moreover, to get into a good college abroad one needs to score well in the exams set forth such as GMAT, TOEFL and IELTS. Because of all this, many people prefer to take up their course in India, as it is seemingly cost structured.

If your aim is to earn more through MBA, then you should attempt exams and try to get a good score to obtain scholarship and then do the course abroad. Whereas if you want to do MBA for the sake of taking up PHD next, or just to get a promotion in your current work, can pick up this course from any college throughout India, or even try out weekend classes which you might find helpful.
