Life hacks and benefits of Boarding School

Benefits

Independence and experience:

In a boarding school, children learn how to plan and direct their lives without parents’ help. For instance, kids wake up in the morning by themselves, make their bed and schedule their study time. These pupils tend to be independent and mature fast and succeed in their college life.

A full time learning environment:

Residential school gives a good study environment for the students and helps it easier for kids to immerse in a world of education. This kind of a setting helps to develop a good relation between teachers and students. For example, studies show that day school students have a hard time studying, due to long distance travels from home to school and back. Also, parents would not be able to train and support their children 24/7 like how it is done in boarding schools.

Fluent in English:

Children for whom English is not their first language tend to take sometime to get a fluency in English. Students, who are studying in a Boarding School, will be able to write, speak and read two languages properly. These kids would benefit in future, as bilingual people are considered smarter and likely to have more job opportunities.

Different Activities:

Boarding school gives an opportunity to experiment various activities like football, drama, dance, music, and many more. These schools put a great effort in making student’s life more fun by arranging travel and adventure.

Life Hacks

Ironing clothes:

Creating a space to iron your cloths takes time, so it is good to hang your cloth on a wall by a hanger and iron it. In case, if you do not own an iron, a hair straightener, hairdryer or fan can be used.

A hair straightener should not be kept on an area for more than a second or else it will burn the cloth. For a fan method, a cloth should be kept directly to a fan on low speed while warm water is sprayed over the cloth.

Create space:

A major problem students face in dorms is not having space. Shelf space can be utilized by organizing clothes in the right way. Instead of piling clothes on top of one another, stack clothes in a row. Under garments can be folded and kept in a shoebox so that it becomes more easier to take them when needed.

Prepare for next day:

Some schools do not provide a locker, so arranging books and keeping them in a bag a night before would save a lot of time for the next day.

Trick the thief:

This might sound silly but it’s a common issue faced by all students. Place the blue ink in a red pen as no one wants to steal a red pen. This trick usually works.

Cooking:

You do not need big kitchen gadgets for cooking. For example, a coffee maker can be used in many ways like cooking ramen, noodles, egg and pasta.
