NEET 2017: First Step to Become a Doctor in India

Planning to be a Doctor in India?  Then you have to attempt the latest exam of NEET.   NEET- 2017 (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is a latest national level medical entrance test which is offered by the CBSE Board once in a year. Whether you are seeking admissions MBBS or BDS in India then you must have to clear the exam to secure a seat in all government and private medical colleges. This exam is successor of All India Pre-Medical Test i.e. AIPMT which was also under the CBSE with the same syllabus.  Now you need not give any other private exam as the exam score is valid in every state of this country and the private seats will be filled by this exam only.

The official notification of the exam is not out yet. But the exam will be held on 7th of May-2017.

You have to apply for the exam by visiting and submitting an online application form on the official website of CBSE.  According to the recent developments the central Government has allowed different languages as the medium of examination. The candidates can appear in the NEET-2017 for post graduate and under graduate in eight languages — Hindi, English, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu.

Who can appear?

 The appearing Student must have passed/appearing 12th or equivalent examination from any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology or any other elective subject with English.

And age is important factor too.

  • Minimum age limit is 17 years on 31st December of the year of admission.
  • Maximum age limit is 25 years for general candidates and 30 years for reserved

Steps to fill NEET Application form

  • Login to the official website of AIPMT and fill the online application mode.
  • Upload a scanned recent picture of the candidate with the signature and left thumb impression.
  • For paying the fees, you can pay via debit card/credit card and E-wallet. You can select to pay via E-challan too.
  • If selected to pay via challan then download it and deposit the payment to respective bank. If asked to submit the details of payments then please do submit that in time.
  • After completing the applications forms, the aspirants will need to take the print out of the form. And when the admit cards are available on the website then download them before the examination.

Syllabus:

The question paper is prepared from the syllabus of 11th and 12th class books of Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The weight-age does varies but you should have the cleared the basic concepts to clear the exam. You can download the whole syllabus from the official website.

Tips:

  • This exam needs right preparation in right direction. So prepare all according to the syllabus and previous years questions.
  • Coaching is not mandatory if your concepts are clear and you studied well.
  • Time management is must. So start attempting the mocks.
  • First follow the NCERT’s then try other books.
  • Stay positive, your efforts will give you the desired results.
