2.    Work in well-lit area

Your body can be tricked into believing, that it’s not yet the time for a nap, if you stay in bright light. You body’s internal clock can be influenced by the kind of lighting you’re subjected to. So, if you intend to stay up till late, make you sure you work in proper light.

3.    Take breaks

As mentioned, our bodies are designed to rest at night, so you might find it hard to work for long hours. Hence, to keep yourself rejuvenated through the night- take a few breaks, every 40-45 minutes and take a stroll, or eat something, but do not nap- as it might not leave you with energy to get back to work.

4.    Avoid Alcohol

This is more of common sense, alcohol paralyses the nervous system and hence you feel drowsy. So avoid consuming alcohol, the day you know you have to stay awake till night. Also, it might help you fall asleep, but will cause disturbances in your sleep and when you’d wake up, you won’t be feel fresh enough.

Prepare a list of the things, which you need to get done through the night span and keep it in front you while working. Cross-out the things that you culminate and move onto the next thing in the list. This will help you stay motivated to work through the late hours.
