This co-educational English medium school inspired by Mother and Sri Aurobindo is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. The Emerald Heights is affiliated to several globally recognised educational institutions such as the Harvard University Model, United Nations, International Award for Young People (IAYP) Lead America, British Council School Award, and AFS. This autonomous organisation operates under the Human Resource Development, Government of Indian and Cambridge International Examination (CIE).

The Emerald Heights provides separate residential facilities for boys and girls. The idea is to provide a homely, secure atmosphere conducive to learning and growth. Dedicated house staff look after the welfare of the students. They have TV room, recreational room where students can participate in table tennis and pool games.
